We’re excited to introduce Messy Play every Monday (term-time only) here at Maidstone YMCA!
Starting on 20th January 2025, you can now pop in every Monday from 10am to 11am for an hour of hands-on, sensory-filled fun that will spark your child’s imagination and brighten their day.
What is Messy Play?
Messy play is a chance for kids to explore textures, colours, and materials in a safe environment. It’s all about engaging their senses, letting them experiment freely, and sparking creativity.
And the best part? We’ll handle the clean up so you don’t have to!
What to Expect
Each week, we’ll provide a variety of exciting activities designed to keep little hands busy and minds engaged.
Activities may include:
- Goey textures: Squish, stretch, and explore delightful gooey materials.
- Sand play: Build castles and create patterns in our sand pit.
- Painting without brushes: Dive into finger painting and sponge stamping.
- Play dough creations: Shape and sculpt your own mini masterpieces.
- Themed sensory areas: Explore themed setups filled with rice, pasta, and other sensory materials
Messy play is not just fun – it’s a wonderful way for kids to develop skills like hand-eye coordination, problem-solving, and social interaction.
Who Can Join?
Messy Play Mondays are perfect for children aged 6 months to 5 years, with activities designed for every stage of development.
What to Bring
- Comfortable, easy-to-clean clothing for your child (and yourself!).
- A towel or wet wipes for quick clean ups.
- A change of clothes for afterward – just in case!
Cost
The cost for this session is only £5.00 per child.
